Digicams Technology advancing photography with digital cameras
The popular thought over the past few years was that digicam technology would only go sofar, and that it would then level out to a standard that would work well for snap shooters and
amateur photographers alike. Who needed a digicam over 6 MP anyway? Watching the
race between manufacturers trying to lead in the area of new technologies, it's clear that the
so called levelling off Isn't going to happen any time soon.
As the number of digital cameras shipped and sold worldwide soared off the charts, manufacturers realized that they needed to meet the demands of their now very techno-savvy
clientele. Their investment into research and development of new technologies means that
consumers win with an influx of high-tech features found in today's new breed of digicams.
Digital photography has opened the door to endless possibilities in every faction of our lives
and It's not just about taking pictures anymore. Now, we must factor in the ebb-and-flow of
all our electronic devices, both at home and in the workplace. Everything connects in today's
high-tech world: home and portable entertainment, communications, and workstations.
Without the digital camera, there would be a rather large gap in how we communicate
thoughts, ideas, and visions. Things have come a long way from the days of simply picking
up our packets of prints, negatives, or slides at the local photo lab.
However, being able to connect to all of our other electronic gadgetry is only one of the
many pluses of today's digital photography advancements. Those who are more concerned
with quality than with convenience will be delighted to know that today's newest models just
keep getting better and, much smarter. Who would have dreamed, a few short years ago,
that we would be looking at compact digital cameras sporting a whopping 12 MP, or the
capabilities of a 35 min equivalent 28-504 mm zoom lens?
New high-tech features, such as optical image stabilizers, face detection, faster image
processors, HDTV compatibility, and advanced shooting modes have made photography
easy and accessible to everyone, no matter your level of expertise. Just ask any pro what
kind of compact digital camera they're hiding among all their big fancy D SLRs. 0 Comments Published by Search on 28-Mar-2008 at 8:41 PM.
Sigma 10-20 MM F/4-5.6 EX DC Lens
SIGMA 10-20 MM F/4-5.6 EX DCAvailable in Canon, Nikon, and Sigma SA mount, this rugged zoom features a fast/silent Hypersonic (ultrasonic) focus motor; manual focus is also available in AF mode, great for quickly tweaking focus when desired. In spite of the affordable price, the optical formula includes three SLD (low dispersion) plus three aspherical elements that minimize distortion and aberrations. My best images made excellent 12 x 18" prints. 0 Comments Published by Search on at 8:31 PM.

PENTAX SMC P-DA FISH-EYE 10-17 MM F/3.5-4.5 ED IFA full-frame fisheye lens that can provide an incredibly wide 180 field of view with curvature

includes a piece of ED glass and a system that allows for instant shift from AF to MF. Image
quality is very good, but, as expected with a fisheye lens, produces obvious barrel distortion:
lines near the edges bow outward, particularly at the shortest focal lengths.

Proper Lenses for advanced digital slr cameras
No matter how expensive or technically advanced an SLR camera may be, it is still primarily a light-tight box designed to hold the film or the digital sensor. It is actually the lens and the creative vision of the photographer-that makes the image. Consequently, the optics are the single most important part of any camera system. Both 35-mm and D SLRs accepta wide range of lens types from ultra-wide to super telephoto as well as macro.
Some lenses are multi-platform, suitable for film and digital cameras. Others are digital only, intended for use exclusively with D SLRs that employ a sensor that's smaller than a 35-mm film frame. (Only a few D SLR cameras include a larger sensor.) The latter are smaller because they need to project only the smaller image circle required by the typical small sensor. Nonetheless, nearly all recent lenses are digitally optimized for greater resistance to flare and better edge sharpness/brightness, useful with any type of camera. 0 Comments Published by Search on at 7:43 PM.

What exactly does shoes hanging over telephone wires mean?
We have all seen sneakers... Hanging over telephone wires and I am sure we have all thought what does this mean? It must have a reason for leaving these shoes hanging around for some reason, wiki has a article about it calling it " Shoe Tossing " As well they quote the King James Version of the Bible regarding Psalms 60:10 Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies?Possibly this could indicate a sign of contempt as suggested it is also known as "shoefiti" when they are thrown over high wires. Some also say that this is a indication of Gang Markers or the location of a Crack House or Place to get heroine. Some say once you buy drugs from this location you can never leave.
This might be a indication of permanent residency one might say. 0 Comments Published by Search on at 7:02 PM.
$100 Million Cash I earned it the hard way
Whos $100 Million Cash is worth more? Well think about it, if your long term investment banker comes up with $100 Million Cash from 20 Penny Stocks or 1 Industrial stock or a Tech stock or some other Nation even, who's money is worth more?I got to thinking that this 100 million everyone seems to be talking about lately thats roots seem to be of the 1930's variety on Uncle Lous' lost wealth of a Mr.Whatshis name that was anonymous do to the fact this money was aquired from a transaction that wishes to remain nameless. Everyone on Wallstreet has their hand out from some trade that cost them money 10 years ago and someguy owes some other guy who really owes the first guy who lost it back in the 1930's that really it should go to which is now dead.
Ok if thats not confusing enough as it is what about this. Say you are no better than anyone else but you have lost your share in the Market Already.... What if you went for that long shot where you lost it in the first place? Would somehow , somewhere would that Billionaire somewhere (Liquid I hope) pay you 2 dollars on the sub penny so you can win big for once in your life?
Who is stupid enough to lose 3 times? Maybe I am the stupidiest man alive, but I just might go long again and pray that someone , somewhere can find me that long lost fortune from 1930 that can make its way back into the long lost grampys grandsons 3 times removed wallet.
Until then it will remain the 100 million that no one owns that is the world and the world claims. 0 Comments Published by Search on 26-Mar-2008 at 7:40 PM.
Olympus E-3
OLYMPUS E-3Although a functional sample was not available at our press time, this new 10-MP professional camera should be a strong contender because it retains the splash-proof, metal construction of the E-1 while benefiting from more advanced technology (some already used in the new Evolt E-510), including improved True Pic III processor, new features, and accurate live preview on the articulated 2.5-inch LCD screen. The E-3 is far more advanced than the Evolt models, featuring a new sensor, faster processor (providing 5-fps I burst mode), superior Noise Reduction, and a versatile AF system with an 11 -point cross type sensor for detecting 88 data points. The AF system is billed as the "world's fastest" when using a Zuiko Digital 12-60 mm (ultrasonic) SWD lens. More importantly perhaps, the E-3 is equipped with a built-in image stabilizer that's effective with any lens and includes a full range of capabilities that working professionals will certainly appreciate. Nikon D2XS
NIKON D2XSThis 12-megapixel model with 2.5" LCD employs the typical DX sensor size (using CIVICS technology), producing the typical 1.5x lens conversion factor. It's remarkably fast too, when used in High Speed Cropped mode for an 8-fps shooting rate for 35 JPEGs at 6.9-MP resolution. The specification sheet is unusually long, including every option that anyone would ever need. Noteworthy features include compatibility with GPS, Image Authentication and Wireless Transmitter accessories, incredible autofocus performance, and a powerful processor. Sure, this D SLR is pricey, but many photographers consider it to be the perfect multi-purpose pro camera. Nikon 0 Comments Published by Search on at 8:13 PM.
Mamiya PRO Digital Kit
Available as a package with a 645AFD II medium-format body, a ZD digital back, and an 80-mm f/2.8 (50-mm equivalent) lens, this combination provides great versatility plus ultra-high 21.5-MP resolution. As in film photography (also possible with the camera with an optional back), size provides some benefits. Because the CCD sensor measures a full 36 x 48 mm, the pixels are much larger than average for greater dynamic range and lower noise. The 645AFD II includes a full range of advanced capabilities, while the digital back offers a high-resolution 1.8-inch LCD monitor, FireWire connectivity for remote control from a computer, JPEG and 14-bit Raw capture at ISO 50 to 400, plus a 1.2-fps burst mode for 11 shots. Competitively priced for a 21.5-megapixel kit, this entry from Mamiya should appeal to photographers who demand superlative image quality, but do not require the much faster framing rate of a "small format" D SLR.

Sony Alpha A700
SONY ALPHA A700A major upgrade over the A100, this is a rugged, serious enthusiast's 12-megapixel D SLR with magnesium alloy and aluminium body, much higher resolution, a superior 3-inch LCD screen, and entirely new technology for the sensor (CMOS), processor, Dynamic Range Optimizer, and the AF system (now with 11 points, including one "dual-cross" type). The A700 also benefits from an improved image stabilizer (providing a 2.5- to 4-step advantage), plus additional functions that experienced photographers will appreciate. It's compatible with a new Vertical Grip (VG-C70AM) accessory that's equipped with a full secondary set of controls.
This D SLR proved to be remarkably reliable, convenient to operate, and unusually fast in all respects while I was shooting long series of images at 5 fps on a new Sony 300x CompactFlash card. Autofocus response and accuracy were very impressive, especially when I used a Sony f/2.8 zoom for action photography. My images made for 13 x 19" prints of outstanding quality.
The Sony A300 is compatible with 31 Sony and Carl Zeiss ZA lenses, but also with any of the numerous Maxxum lenses, making the camera particularly appealing to anyone who owns either type of AF lens.

CANON EOS 40D
This new prosumer-level 10-MP camera is loaded with features, including some inherited from pro models. The best of these include the DIGIC III processor that can generate 14-bit Raw files, a larger buffer, a new AF system with 9 cross-type sensor points, ultrasonic sensor cleaner, weatherproof card and battery door, separate motors for shutter and mirror operation, compatibility with an optional wireless transmitter/vertical grip accessory, and a 3-inch LCD
screen with Live View mode. The latter allows for image preview with manual focus; autofocus is also available, but that's a slower process in Live View.
Other benefits include a fast 6.5-fps burst mode for 75 JPEGs, a new Small Raw capture mode, many Picture Style processing options, a Silent shooting mode, and compatibility with interchangeable focusing screens. In preliminary testing, this new model was incredibly fast and reliable; it produced superlative image quality, even at high ISO levels, making the Canon EOS 40D suitable not only for serious enthusiasts, but also as a backup body for professional photographers.

Pentax K100D Super 6-Mega Pixel Digital Camera
PENTAX K100D SUPERA robust 6-MP camera with a comfortable, oversized handgrip, this D SLR is equipped with a sensor dust removal system and a Shake-Reduction device that can stabilize any compatible AF or manual focus lens. It's full featured too, with over a dozen fully automatic Scene modes and
MAX many advanced amenities, plus some valuable image enhancing tools in Playback mode. The body features few analog controls, but a single button provides access to the four most frequently used options.
Autofocus is very reliable except with fast/erratic motion in action Super photography. The 2.6-frame per second burst mode is fast, but slows noticeably after the first four shots. Both aspects are relevant primarily to sports photography enthusiasts. My best images exhibited
rich, but believable colours, pleasing skin tones, and slightly low sharpness, easily solved with a +1 (in-camera) level for sharpening. Most friends rated my 11 x 16.5" prints as very good and 8 x 10"s as perfect. Overall, the K100D Super qualifies as a best value camera because of the sensor cleaner plus anti-shake system, a combination that's unique to Pentax in the under $750 category.

Panasonic Lumix DMC L10 Review
PANASONIC LUMIX DMC-L10The second Lumix D SLR, this model is smaller, lighter (556 g), and more affordable than the DMC-L1, but features several benefits. These include a higher-resolution 10-MP sensor, a new Face Detection AF option, more convenient autofocus in Live View mode, and an articulated
2.5-inch LCD screen with 270-degree rotation, useful when shooting from a high or low angle. An Intelligent ISO Control function has also been added: when subject movement is detected, the system sets a higher ISO, as required for a faster , shutter speed to "freeze" the motion.
The DMC-L10 is very well equipped overall, retaining most of the features of the prosumer-level DMC-L1, including many modes, overrides, and menu items, a wide range of
autofocus and image-parameter options, a 3-fps burst mode for numerous JPEGs
and more. In preliminary testing, I found the Lumix DMC-L10 to be reliable, quite fast, and easy to operate. Images made at default settings (without parameter adjustments) exhibit a wide dynamic range, moderately high sharpness, and pleasing, accurate colours; my best JPEGs made beautiful 13 x 19" prints.

Olympus Evolt E-410 Review

OLYMPUS E-410 EVOLT
An unusually slim and lightweight 10-MP camera, the E-410 includes a very effective sensor dust removal system and a full time Live View option for composing photos before they are taken. The LiveView display is accurate in terms of white balance, exposure, and depth of field. Autofocus is available, although it's slow , and there's a lot of pausing and clicking when the camera's reflex mirror moves up and down; manual focus is more convenient in Live View. Featuring many enthusiast-level functions, the E-410 offers great value for the price and is relatively easy to use thanks to many analog controls and fully automatic modes. It's compatible with Four Thirds AF lenses from Olympus, Panasonic/Leica, and Sigma with a 2x focal length conversion factor.
In normal shooting mode, Autofocus worked well, although it was not the best with very fast, erratic motion. On the other hand, burst mode is unusually fast, great for shooting many
large/fine JPEGs at 3 frames per second. My JPEGs are colourful, very sharp, and richly
detailed; they made for very nice 13 x 17.3" ink-jet prints. A leader in advanced technology,
the E-410 will appeal to those who appreciate its valuable features or simply want a
D SLR/lens combo that's unusually small and portable.

NiKon D40 Digital SLR shooting Stock photos
While shooting stock photos at events that attract a lot of families, I've noticed that an increasing, number are using digital SLR (single lens reflex) cameras. Larger than thecompact digicams, these accept a broad range of lens types, external flash units, and other accessories. They're also much faster and provide superior image quality, thanks to their
substantially larger sensors with oversized pixels. Prices have continued to drop, particularly
in the entry-level category, making a D SLR kit a suitable alternative to a high-megapixel, prosumer-grade digicam with built-in lens. More advanced models are also available, of
course, for serious enthusiasts and professionals.
Since I frequently test D SLRs of all brands, Photo Life readers often write to ask which
camera they should buy. Frankly, it's impossible to make a recommendation without
knowing a great deal about their favourite subjects, their personal preferences, as well as
their needs for resolution, speed, and maximum versatility. For the same reason, it's difficult
to identify the "best" camera in general. It is, however, possible to narrow the field to the
best models in each brand or category, and I have done so with an emphasis on recently-
released models that should remain available for some time.
Because price is an important consideration for most families, the most affordable cameras
are usually the best sellers in the D SLR category. In truth, the term "entry-level" is not totally
accurate, because all of the following models (in order of price) include a wide range of
capabilities from simple/automatic to advanced, plus all of the important overrides.
The smallest and lightest of all Nikon D SLRs, this 6-megapixel model retains the rugged feel of this brand's more expensive cameras. The body has few analog controls, but one button provides a quick shortcut to a list of 11 functions. The D40 employs some of the same technology as the
10-megapixel D80 ($1089, street), but it's not equipped with an internal focus motor, so autofocus is provided only with AF-S (Silent Wave) lenses (or certain Sigma lenses).
Some non-essential features have also been omitted, but the D40 is still a well-equipped camera. It's great for serious picture-taking or for snap shooting in one of the eight fully automatic Scene
modes. In-camera retouching options are also available (in Playback mode) for modifying some technical aspects of your images. The camera is also very fast and reliable in all respects,
including autofocus and the 2.5-fps burst mode for numerous JPEGs. My images were very sharp and exhibited snappy con-trast, pleasing skin tones, and very rich saturation. The best photos made for gorgeous 11 x 16.5" ink-jet prints. While the 10-MP
Nikon D40x ($819, street) is preferable for oversized prints, the
more affordable D40 is a best selling model because it's nearly
identical except for resolution.

» Bleeding Love Lyrics - Leona Lewis
I didn't need the pain
Once or twice was enough
And it was all in vain
Time starts to pass
Before you know it you're frozen
But something happened
For the very first time with you
My heart melts into the ground
Found something true
And everyone's looking round
Thinking I'm going crazy
But I don't care what they say
I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein
That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open
Trying hard not to hear
But they talk so loud
Their piercing sounds fill my ears
Try to fill me with doubt
Yet I know that the goal
Is to keep me from falling
But nothing's greater
Than the rush that comes with your embrace
And in this world of loneliness
I see your face
Yet everyone around me
Thinks that I'm going crazy, maybe, maybe
But I don't care what they say
I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein
That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open
And it's draining all of me
Oh they find it hard to believe
I'll be wearing these scars
For everyone to see
I don't care what they say
I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein
That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I

» Stop and Stare Lyrics - OneRepublic
This town is colder now, I think it's sick of us
It's time to make our move, I'm shakin off the rust
I've got my heart set on anywhere but here
I'm staring down myself, counting up the years
Steady hands, just take the wheel...
And every glance is killing me
Time to make one last appeal... for the life I lead
Stop and stare
I think I'm moving but I go nowhere
Yeah I know that everyone gets scared
But I've become what I can't be, oh
Stop and stare
You start to wonder why you're 'here' not there
And you'd give anything to get what's fair
But fair ain't what you really need
Oh, can u see what I see
They're tryin to come back, all my senses push
Un-tie the weight bags, I never thought I could...
Steady feet, don't fail me now
Gonna run till you can't walk
But something pulls my focus out
And I'm standing down...
Stop and stare
I think I'm moving but I go nowhere
Yeah I know that everyone gets scared
But I've become what I can't be, oh
Stop and stare
You start to wonder why you're here not there
And you'd give anything to get what's fair
But fair ain't what you really need
Oh, you don't need
What u need, what u need...
Stop and stare
I think I'm moving but I go nowhere
Yeah I know that everyone gets scared
But I've become what I can't be
Oh, do u see what I see... 0 Comments Published by Search on at 11:39 AM.

Ukrainian sailors trapped in ship underwater
Director of Marine Department Roger Tupper said the sailors were trapped in the hull of the ship and could still be alive if they found an air pocket inside their vessel.
However, he said rescue divers had knocked on the boat and did not hear the sailors signal back.
Divers made nine attempts to rescue the trapped sailors but were hindered by strong currents and poor visibility, the Hong Kong government said in a statement.
The Ukrainian tugboat Neftegaz, which was on its way to an oil field south of Hong Kong, collided with Chinese-registered cargo ship Yao Hai late Saturday in waters northwest of Hong Kong's outlying Lantau island, Tupper said.
He said six Ukrainians and a Chinese citizen were rescued from the tugboat and efforts were continuing to find the others. 0 Comments Published by Search on at 9:08 AM.
President Robert Mugabe accused of Election rigging
Tendai Biti, secretary general of the Movement for Democratic Change, told CNN that leaked correspondence from the election commission showed it had asked the company that is printing paper ballots to make nine million.
However, the African country has an electorate of 5.7 million registered voters, he said.
Also, 600,000 postal paper ballots were requested for soldiers and police officers, Biti said.
Postal ballots are usually requested for civil servants serving abroad, and the total number for soldiers and police in Zimbabwe add up to no more than 50,000, he said.
"Remember, when they stole this election away from us the last time, they stole it with 350,000 votes," Biti said. "Six hundred thousand is double insurance. They cannot win a free and fair election in this country." 0 Comments Published by Search on at 9:06 AM.
Tibetan areas swarming with troops
Information barely trickled out of the Tibetan capital Lhasa and other far-flung Tibetan communities, where foreign media were banned and thousands of troops dispatched to quell the most widespread demonstrations against Chinese rule in nearly five decades.
The Chinese government was attempting to fill the information vacuum with its own message, saying Sunday through official media that the restive areas were under control.
The government has also disseminated footage of Tibetan protesters attacking Chinese and accusations of biased reporting by Western media via TV, the Internet, e-mail and YouTube, which is blocked in China. The media barrage underscored that the government campaign is moving into a new phase of damage control ahead of the much-anticipated Beijing Olympics in August. 0 Comments Published by Search on at 9:01 AM.
Mideast Peace agreement requires " Painful Concessions "
After meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Cheney stressed the U.S. commitment to the creation of an independent Palestinian state, saying it was "long overdue."
"Achieving that vision will require tremendous effort at the negotiating table and painful concessions on both sides," said Cheney, whose stop in Ramallah came just two months after President Bush's trip to the West Bank.
Abbas, a moderate, controls the West Bank and is battling Hamas militants who have taken charge of Gaza from Abbas-allied forces and have bombarded southern Israel with rockets.
"Terror and violence do not merely kill innocent civilians, they also kill the legitimate hopes and aspirations of the Palestinian people," Cheney said. 0 Comments Published by Search on at 9:00 AM.
Sara Jane Olson Freed Monday
Sara Jane Olson was freed Monday.
But her earliest release date is now March 17, 2009, Chief Deputy Secretary Scott Kernan said, calling the error "an aberration."
"Our department immediately rearrested her, and she will serve her full sentence," Kernan said.
He described Olson as cooperative and said the arrest took place "without incident."
She will serve the year at the Central California Women's Facility in Chowchilla, California.
"The department is sensitive to the impact such an error has had on all involved in this case and sincerely regrets the mistake," Kernan said. 0 Comments Published by Search on at 8:59 AM.
Pope calls for Peace at Mass
A white canopy on the steps of St. Peter's Basilica protected the 80-year-old pontiff from a downpour while thousands of pilgrims, tourists and Romans braved thunder and wind-whipped rain to attend Easter Mass in the square.
On Easter, Christians celebrate their belief in the resurrection of Jesus two days after he was crucified.
Thanks to the apostles' preaching about the resurrection, "thousands and thousands of persons converted to Christianity," Benedict said.
"And this is a miracle which renews itself even today," the pope said, hours after a Saturday night Easter vigil service in which he baptized seven adults. 0 Comments Published by Search on at 8:57 AM.
