Drug Submarines? 5 tonnes of Cocaine found

Here's a idea, why not transport your drugs in a " Drug Submarine " . A estimated worth of 350 million dollars for this haul.

Whats the world coming to? What happened to the days of old where airplanes were used and a trip to Columbia in a day netted millions, or how about a nice sailboat ride getting you a quick million or so. It appears that a drug submarine was the vessel of choice for Colombian Drug Cartels.

Criminals are going through extreme lengths to get their product across the USA boarder however in this case Florida inspectors discovered the submarine. I wonder what kind of detection you would need to detect whether a submarine had cocaine or other drugs on it, must be some system. It appears drug spotting planes were used to discover the sub off the coast of Jacksonville Florida. If you had cocaine on board and were smuggling cocaine why would you be surfaced? I don't get it seems a bit stupid I guess, but what do I know.
